FESTWALL Privacy Policy
Effective 2 August 2026
FESTWALL is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts,
no sign-ins, no advertising, and no tracking — for hosts or for guests.
What the app stores
- Event content. Photos, guestbook messages, song requests, poll votes and announcements
that you and your guests add to an event are stored on our server infrastructure
(Cloudflare) so that everyone at the event can see them. Photos are re-compressed on the
guest's device before upload; location metadata is not part of what guests' browsers send.
- Names are optional. Guests can type a display name if they want their photos and
messages signed. That name is stored with the content they posted, and nothing else.
- On your device. The list of events you host (including the keys that control them)
is stored only on your phone.
What we don't do
- No user accounts, passwords, or profiles.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising, no sale of data — ever.
- No access to your contacts, location, or camera roll beyond the photos you explicitly
choose to save or share.
Who can see event content
Every event lives behind a long, unguessable link. Anyone who has the link (usually via the
QR code at your party) can see the event's shared content. Hosts can hide or delete any item,
require approval before photos appear, close uploads, or delete the entire event.
Deletion
When a host deletes an event, all of its photos, messages, votes and settings are permanently
removed from our servers. Guests can delete their own posts at any time from the event page.
